چرا برای فارسی‌زبان‌ها سخت است؟

در فارسی بعد از عدد، اسم مفرد می‌آید: «سه کتاب». در انگلیسی بعد از هر عدد بزرگ‌تر از یک، اسم جمع است.

قاعده

بعد از two، three، many، several و a few اسم جمع می‌آید: two cats، five years. چند جمع بی‌قاعده را حفظ کن: man → men، woman → women، child → children، person → people، foot → feet.

After numbers bigger than one (and many, several, a few) the noun is plural: two cats, five years. Learn the irregular ones: men, women, children, people, feet.
